Our annual Last Night of the Proms concert was held on Saturday 7th February 2026 at Newark Palace Theatre.

Once again Newark and Sherwood Concert Band were invited to perform and entertained an audience of nearly 600 people with a programme of music from the stage and screen, culminating in a journey around the British Isles and a classic Proms finish.

Also in the audience were 19 of our friends from Emmendingen, Germany, including Oberbürgermeister Stefan Schlatterer, who travelled over to be with us for the weekend.

Balloons, flags, singing and clapping – and not to forget the fancy dress! The night was a huge success!
